Master of Economics in Regional Economics
Objectives
The program is designed to mainly train students in theory and empirical analysis of regional economic issues with the ability to engage in regional economic forecast, quantitative analysis, management and policy making in economic management departments, regional and urban planning departments or public policy research departments, international agencies and large enterprises in various countries. Graduates are expected to be equipped with knowledge and research methods of theory analysis of regional and urban economic, regional economic forecast and quantitative analysis, policy making of regional and urban economic development and policy assessment, so that they can master relevant professional knowledge and ability for regional economic planning , management, forecast, policy making and evaluation to work in the government departments, enterprises or international agencies in the future.

Entry Requirements
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens generally under the age of 45 at the time of applying, be in good health, and possess a valid passport.
- Applicants should hold a recognized bachelor's degree or above.
- Applicants should present a TOEFL certificate with a score of 80 or above, or an IELTS certificate with a score of 6.0 or above, or other certificate of English proficiency from an accredited test. Native English speakers are exempt from this requirement. Applicants who have taken courses in English during their bachelor's degree studies should provide a medium-of-instruction certificate.
- The ability to demonstrate relevant professional experience will be given individual consideration.
